Sarah Blizzard, DNP, PMHNP, is a highly trained psychiatric nurse practitioner at Excel Psychiatry in Windermere, Florida. She has over 26 years of experience working with patients ages 12 and older, including those with multiple conditions and complicated cases. Dr. Blizzard is very passionate about easy access to care, accepting patients of lower-income levels, and ensuring they get the care they need. She specializes in depression, anxiety, and substance abuse disorder, as well as dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and geriatric psychiatry. After earning her bachelor’s degree, Dr. Blizzard received a master’s degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. She obtained a post-master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and is dual-certified as a family nurse practitioner and a PMHNP. Dr. Blizzard earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Maryville University. She holds advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Florida. She is highly skilled in emergency medicine, psychiatric services, outpatient clinics, urgent care, and inpatient care.

Dr. Blizzard is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Central Florida Advanced Nursing Practice Council. She provides superior care to all of her patients and strongly believes in the importance of easily accessible psychiatric services for everyone. Dr. Blizzard offers telepsychiatry services to help patients who may not otherwise receive the care they need. She is empathetic to psychiatric patients and their families, as mental health issues can be devastating and the stigmas attached to them are often difficult. Dr. Blizzard offers destigmatizing care to provide patients with the caring, exceptional services they deserve. She warmly welcomes patients to Excel Psychiatry and looks forward to exceeding their mental health care needs.

Mandip Kaur, PMHNP, AGNP-BC is a dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner and Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University. She continued her education at Western Connecticut State University to earn her Master of Science degree in Nursing. She then went on to obtain her Post-Master’s certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mandip has over 5 years of experience in Psychiatry and over 12 years of experience in the medical profession working in Critical Care. She has extensive experience working with the adult and geriatric population in various settings including critical care, inpatient care and long-term care. Her core values include providing high quality patient-centered mental health care that is scientific based and promotes diversity and inclusion. Mandip has a holistic and caring approach to mental health and strives to reduce the stigma of mental illness. In addition to mental health, Mandip’s passions include fitness and reading.

Diana Tran graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master's in Counseling Education and a certificate in Play Therapy. She's also received a Bachelor's in Psychology. Diana has interned and worked at various non-profit organizations that provide individual therapy, play therapy, and family therapy.

Diana is an integral part of the team here at Excel Psychiatry and is responsible for maintaining and continuing the practice's growth and commitment to the community we serve.

Danielle Porter is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has spent over a decade working in medical and behavioral health. Her vast psychiatric experience includes adult and pediatric inpatient crisis stabilization, inpatient substance abuse and detox treatment, and outpatient mental health services. Here at Excel Psychiatry, Danielle specializes in adult comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy.
